K. Michelle’s journey to remove her butt implants has been a bumpy one to say the last. Despite having them initially removed in January, the V.S.O.P singer is now revealing that the silicone spread to her legs and she’s had to undergo emergency surgery and received 2 blood transfusions.
On April 4, while appearing on the Steve Show Michelle told fans that she’d be undergoing a second procedure the following week. “They’re cutting tissue out of my body so that my body will stop reacting to trying to push it out,” she said. “This will be my second one, but I’ve learned my lesson. I’ve learned it.”
During an Instagram live session on April 11, Michelle tearfully let fans know she was still in the hospital.
“So I love y’all, so much. It’s been so rough,” she said according to a video obtained by The Jasmine Brand. “I’ve had blood transfusions, everything. It’s been a really rough week. But I thank y’all for everything. I’m ok. I’m crying because I’m happy. I’m not crying because I’m sad. It’s been so painful. It’s been a lot. So I just thank God that I made it out on the other side.”
The “V.S.O.P” singer also gave her fans a full breakdown of all that she’s been going through in a lengthy message on her Instagram account.
“Last Wednesday I entered surgery barely functioning with my legs and an infection. The surgery to remove all of this from me lasted a long 6 hours. The following days were spent with paramedics until they realized my blood count was severely low and I was rushed into ER where I was admitted. 2 blood transfusions later I’ve been released and started therapy today to heal and walk.”
Michelle also thanked her friends (who did show up) and her family for their support and said she’s taking things slow for a while.
“Slowing my life down now taking my time with my new music there are songs and truths 2 b told. I will sing them. But in my own time and way. My son needs me. Oh and those twins I want can FINALLY come This year because I’ll be able to actually pick them up. The small things matter most now.”
