Rick Ross Releases First Statement Since Hospitalization

Rick Ross is speaking out for the first time since his hospitalization.

On Thursday the 42-year-old rapper, real name William Leonard Roberts, addressed his fans with a short but sweet post on Instagram. “Ain’t nothing like home,” the 42-year-old star wrote, before adding, “I love y’all” and signing the post with his initials, “WLR.”

The black and white photo taken from the back shows his jacket, which reads “Black Bottle Boys.” While leaning one hand against the wall, he’s holding in his other a bottle of Luc Belaire Rosé, the champagne that he is an official brand ambassador for..

On Monday, March 5, the Maybach Music Founder was released from the hospital and is now home receiving home care. As previously reported, on Thursday, March 1 Ross was found unresponsive, breathing heavily and slobbering at the mouth.

There have been conflicting reports about what landed the rapper in the hospital; one source claims it was pneumonia, another insider claims it was heart issues. His close friends and family however have adamantly disputed claims that he was on life support.

No additional details have been released.
