Why Young Thug Plans On Acting Deaf For A Year … (This Is Not A Joke)

Young Thug just unveiled that he plans on acting deaf for a year. Don’t worry, folks, it’s all or a good cause.

During a recent interview with Hype Beast, Thugger suggested that in honor of his deaf brother, he doesn’t want to put out any new music for a year. “I got a deaf brother, I got a brother who can’t hear or talk,” he said.

The rapper continued, “So I’m going to act deaf for a year, so I ain’t going to put no music out this year.” Thugger is the tenth child of eleven, so it’s unclear which brother he is talking about.

The good news, however, is that the rapper has been busy over the past few years dropping mixtapes and EPs.

Jeffery Williams, the rapper’s legal name, recently released a collaborative mixtape with Future called, Super Slimey. In June 2017, Thugger dropped a mixtape called Beautiful Thugger Girls, executively produced by Drake. And in September 2017, he released a joint EP with DJ Carnage called, Young Martha.

All that to say, there’s plenty of music to keep fans occupied for the year.
