We know Tyrese has been an emotional wreck and spreading untruths lately, but his latest social media proclamation could actually be true. The 38-year-old singer/actor took to Instagram on Thursday and announced that his 2005 flick Four Brothers was getting a sequel.

“Paramount has officially greenlit a sequel to Four Brothers ( no lies here lol )….. it’s all over the net the script is almost done to the sequel and it’s magic- Gonna be cool as hell just getting back with the crew, ” he said.

He went on to post an article from The Hollywood Reporter about the sequel and said word was all over the net. That part, however, was NOT true. The article was actually from 2010, and not a soul on the world wide web was reporting that “Four Brothers 2” was in the works.

Gibson has since deleted that post, but we still think he may be telling the truth. This isn’t the first time he has opened his mouth about some insider info (remember he prematurely announced on Facebook Dr. Dre sold Beats and was now a billionaire).

We did some digging and found out that  Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who produced Four Brothers has a project in development called Five Brothers. The writers listed are David Elliott and Paul Levitt, who also wrote the original. Coincidence? We think not.

Bonaventura has also produced several films with Mark Wahlberg, who starred in the John Singleton-directed flick alongside Gibson, Andre 3000, Garrett Hedlund, and Sofia Vergara.

His production company told us they “can’t comment at this time.”
