Sanaa Lathan Goes Bald For New Flick ‘Nappily Ever After’

Sanaa Lathan has shaved off all her hair folks, and we’ve got to say she looks amazing. The drastic move is for her role in the Netflix original film Nappily Ever After.

Lathan showed off her newly bald head on her Instagram page, and she seems to think it looks awesome as well.  “Just doing my reveal”, she said casually as she tilted her newly bald head into camera. “So light I feel like I can fly away,” she continued before making a kissy face.

In the film, Lathan plays Violet Jones, who has a seemingly flawless life until an accident at the hair dresser causes things in her life to unravel and she begins to realize that she was living the life she thought she was supposed to live, not the one that she really wanted.

As previously reported Halle Berry was originally slated to produce and star in the film and also was going to shave her head for the part. So, its no surprise here that Lathan has chopped off all her locks.

She also went blonde for the role, and has been keeping her fans updated on the hair changes on her social media page.

The film, which is based on the book by Trisha R. Thomas is currently in production and also stars Ernie Hudson.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
