Grey’s Anatomy star, Jason George. is hopping ship. But don’t worry, the actor won’t be going far.

George, who has been on the hit ABC show over the past eight seasons, will be joining the new Grey’s untitled firefighter spinoff series.

It’s being reported that the actor will remain on season 14 of Shonda Rhime’s love child, but will slowly make his exit as the new spinoff starts to film.

George’s new transition, however, doesn’t come quite as a surprise. During the Season 13 finale of GA, George’s character, Ben, channeled is inner firefighter to save his co-star and fellow doctor, Stephanie.

Details about Shonda’s new series are not clear and Jason has remained mum. But there’s no doubt the actor is thrilled about the new project. “I serve at the pleasure of Shonda Rhimes, so whatever she wants, I’m good,” he told Entertainment Tonight back in August.

He added, “I think it’d be a blast to be able to have two shows weaving in and out of each other. I think that’s a really cool thing. I love that they’re doing it.”

As we all anticipate the arrival of the new show, one thing can certainly keep us entertained — the trailer for Season 14 of Grey’s. Enjoy.

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.
