Mariah Carey is gorgeous, rich, was once the biggest pop star on the planet and duh, has legs of a god. Literally … her legs are insured. With that being said, how could anybody on Carey’s caliber have anything less than a ginormous self-esteem?!

It’s now being revealed that Mariah aka Mimi is just a “normal human being” with insecurities.

During an interview with Page Six backstage at her show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the singer admitted: “I just feel like I am a regular human being and I deserve the same respect as anybody else. I have always had low self-esteem, and people do not recognize that.”

When talking about growing up biracial and the struggle to fit in, Carey suggested, “That is why music became such a big part of my life, because it helped me overcome those issues. Sometimes it is hard to let your guard down.”

The new Paper magazine cover girl added,  “And that is with everybody — it is not just with three people or just one.”

And while it seems as though the singer’s rise to fame was easy and perfect, the beauty claims otherwise. “I remember it not being easy getting a record deal,” she said. “Making demos in the middle of the night, sleeping on the floor in the studio, being broke with no food. My go-to meal was [Newman’s Own] sauce. Me and my friend would split the pasta and sauce for, like, a week. Or it was, like, a bagel and iced tea.  …The guy would give it to me at the deli for free.”

Our guess is Mimi is not sleeping on any floors these days, but it’s nice to hear about her humble beginnings.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
