Rapper Kidd Creole, one of the original members of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, was arrested on Wednesday for the murder of a homeless man.
Creole was taken into custody and charged with killing the 55-year-old late Tuesday night. The victim, identified as John Jolly, was found on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds to his torso.
Jolly, who was reportedly living at a homeless shelter in Lower Manhattan at the time, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he was officially pronounced dead.
According to reports, Nathaniel Glover, the rapper’s legal name, got into an argument with the 55-year-old in Midtown Manhattan which led to the fatal stabbing. Glover, a Bronx native, was charged with second-degree murder.
Calls to Kidd’s reps were not returned.
