Throw ya diamonds in sky! Jay Z has been tapped to appear on Saturday Night Live when it returns next month. Hov will be the musical guest for the season 43 premiere, set to air on September 30th, and Ryan Gosling will host.

The announcement was made during Thursday night’s edition of “Weekend Update,” which just wrapped a four-weeklong summer run, and echoed on the show’s official Twitter account.

Gosling hosted the show once before in 2015, while Jay Z has graced the stage three times to date. Recent appearances include his solo performance in 2010, where he delivered an eight-minute-long medley that included “Public Service Announcement,” “On to the Next One,” “99 Problems” and “Empire State of Mind.” He also made a cameo during Beyoncé’s set in 2003.

Gosling, who starred in last season’s hit movie “La La Land,” is next set to appear in “Blade Runner 2049,” alongside Harrison Ford, which opens October 6.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z embarks on his massive North American tour in support of 4:44, which begins on October 27th in Anaheim, CA at Honda Center.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
