Ne-Yo’s wife, Crystal Renay Smith, is apologizing to fans for her behavior on reality television.

On a recent episode of E!’s The Platinum Life, Smith got into a verbal altercation with Kid Ink’s wife, Asiah Collins. The argument was over how small a private jet was and according to Crystal, was she never intended for the discussion to escalate the way it did.”

“I just want to say to the young women that look up to me and that I motivate on a daily basis that sometimes you are taken out of our character. It’s ok to stand by what you believe in, which is what I did. But maybe not the way that I went about it. I don’t want you to do what I did.”

She added, “If I let you down, I promise I will get better. I’m a work in progress. Everyday is a new day to be better and I’m trying.”

Smith captioned the video, “Pride aside, I want all of you amazing women not to do what I’ve done but to learn from it. The tongue is mightier than the sword and I want us to learn to take the higher road in all situations. I will forever stand for what I believe is true but I’m not ignorant enough to not acknowledge my part in anything. Love you all for the OVERWHELMING SUPPORT and LOVE!”
