From reality television to scripted, Mariah Carey is keeping her run on the small screen going.
Just months after wrapping her E! docu-series, it’s being unveiled that the diva will have a show based around her personal life.
According to several reports, Carey will executive produce the untitled fictional drama which will air on Starz. Apparently, the series will document some of the pop star’s real-life experiences as she rose to stardom and fame.
The storyline will take place in 1986 New York City when the now mother of two was just 16 years old.
Carey has not responded to the news, but the singer’s manager, Stella Bulochnikov, told Entertainment Tonight back in January that, “We do have a scripted drama that we are developing that has not been announced about Mariah’s life that’s going to be incredibly poignant.”
