It’s no secret that Tupac Shakur dated pop icon Madonna for a brief time, but the reason their love affair didn’t last is finally coming to light. Spoiler Alert: It’s because she’s white as hell.

It’s odd… Madge was clearly white before Pac pursued her, but alas, it was her whiteness that also caused the legendary rapper to drop her like a bad habit. This news revelation comes courtesy a letter Shakur wrote while incarcerated.

In the revealing note Tupac confessed:

“For you to be seen with a black man wouldn’t in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting. But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my ‘image’ I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was.”

Yikes.

Tupac realized the truth might hurt, so he also apologized to the “Like A Virgin” singer saying, “I never meant to hurt you.”

The full letter will be available for purchase via auction July 19-28 at Gotta Have Rock and Roll. The starting bid is $100k.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
