Fans will now be able to say goodbye to influential hip hop legend Prodigy.

The family of the late Mobb Deep rapper has graciously set aside time for fans and admirers to come pay their last respects. The public funeral service will be held Thursday, June 29th, at Frank E. Campbell in NYC, also known as “The Funeral Chapel.”

Those who would like to say their last goodbyes will be able to between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

The family’s private ceremony is also set to be held today and may include a bevy of A-list rap legends looking to honor one of their own. Those invited to the service include Nas, Lil Kim, Big Daddy Kane, Ice-T, Naughty By Nature and Onyx. As expected, Prodigy’s Mobb Deep partner Havoc will be in attendance as well.

RIP, Prodigy.

It’s a new dawn, a new day … DMX is sober!

The rapper’s lengthy history with drug abuse has been well documented by his many arrest and sometimes bizarre behavior, but Dark Man X is putting all of that behind him.

X has been in a treatment facility since late August and has been doing really well. The rapper opted for rehab instead of house arrest in order to improve his chances of kicking his drug habit and it looks like it may have worked.

Sources tell TMZ, the program is almost complete, but x will probably stay another 30 days since he’s been responding so well. X has even been able to take day trips with a friend to a nearby town.

Congrats to DMX!
