‘Shark Tank’s’ Daymond John’s Secret Battle With Cancer
Shark Tank‘s flyest Shark and FUBU CEO, Daymond John, just revealed that he’s been battling thyroid cancer for the last year. “I had an extensive physical and they discovered there was a nodule on my thyroid,” he told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. “They removed it and it was stage II cancer on my thyroid.”
Raymond, 48, started the FUBU clothing line back in the early ’90s, transforming the fashion industry, and is a main investor of the Emmy-winning ABC show Shark Tank. Apparently, nothing slows him down — not even fighting cancer.
“I was out partying and dancing two days later, not that I should’ve.” John said during his GMA interview.
So why did he finally want to share the news with the world? “I wanted to share this information with people because what would I have went through if I decided to just stick my head in the sand and go, ‘You know what? I’m not going to check into stuff.’ I would’ve really had some big, big problems.”
Daymond has been such an inspiration to budding entrepreneurs worldwide and how he’s inspiring us to stay on top of our health!
