The secret’s out; Rachel Lindsay let it slip that SHE’S ENGAGED! She told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m very much in love and very much engaged.” The new season hasn’t even begun and we already know everything is coming up roses.

After 12 successful seasons, fans and critics alike couldn’t help but notice there would be people of color as token contestants and never as the main Bachelor or Bachelorette. Audiences were ecstatic when 32-year-old Lindsay, a lawyer, was announced as the first Black Bachelorette for Season 13.

Lindsay addressed race and dating head-on during interviews promoting the premiere saying she doesn’t have a type.

“With the guys, you know, if it’s something new to them, then I want to talk about it the same way that I [wanted] to talk to Nick about it: ‘Have you ever dated a black woman before?'” she told ET in April. “I’ll talk about my experiences as well. You know, it’s about me, too, but I don’t want it to be something that defines our relationship. But I think it’s something important to address.”

Fans have been vocal about race as well, touting Lindsay as a trailblazer and a role model.  Its also worth mentioning that her potential suitors are also a ethnically diverse group compared to past seasons.

We will meet this gang this Monday!!! Who is excited?! #bachelorette #rachellindsay #bachelornation #abcnetwork #bachelorette #bachelor

No shade to CodeBlack Films, but it’s last flick, All Eyes On Me, was kind of a disaster. From the poor ratings and reviews, to stars like Jada Pinkett Smith and 50 Cent slamming the film, folks just weren’t feeling it.

But that may all change with their new movie Traffik. The action-packed thriller slated for theaters April 27, 2018 stars Omar Epps, Paula Patton and Laz Alonso, and it looks pretty darn good.

Peep the trailer below.

In the film, Brea (Paula Patton) and John (Omar Epps) are off for a romantic weekend in the mountains. Isolated at a remote estate, the couple are surprised by the arrival of two friends, another couple, Darren (Laz Alonso) and Malia (Roselyn Sanchez). Just when the weekend starts to get back on track, a violent biker gang turns up and begins to torment them. The foursome are forced to fight for their lives against a gang who will stop at nothing to protect their secrets.

The film is written and directed by Deon Taylor. Patton is also a producer.
