It’s been a while since we’ve written about Brandy, but her name is making headlines today after she popped up on Instagram with a new boo, Sir the Baptist.

The two went public with their relationship after being spotted in NYC by photographers, both writing sappy hashtags and posts on their Instagram accounts.

Sir the Baptist (a.k.a. William James Stokes), is an up-and-coming hip-hop artist from Chicago. In an interview with Essence, Baptist said that, despite his stage name, he’s not a Christian artist. The emcee claims that his music is meant to be the “connecting piece between our spirituality and our day-to-day world.” And lately it seems he’s been “connecting” a lot with singer Brandy.

Brandy’s dating history is a Hollywood who’s who. She was last involved with music executive Ryan Press back in 2014; the two were engaged but never married.  She’s also been linked to Terrence Jenkins, FloRida, Tyrese, Usher and even went to prom with Kobe Bryant back in 1996!

While Brandy hasn’t released new music for several years, Sir the Baptist is set to release his debut album this year.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
