In recent years it seemed as though Janet Jackson was practically a recluse, rarely being seen while living her life in London. But now that she’s had her son, Eissa, and is divorcing his dad, Wissam Al Mana, Jackson is ready to show the world her real life.
According to several reports, Jackson is in talks with Netflix to star in a 10-part documentary depicting her life as a new mother, the aftermath of her divorce and her return to music. And of course, word on the street is Netflix is paying a pretty penny for the unprecedented access to the superstar’s life.
The Sun reports:
“Janet has been fiercely private about her life in the past but feels the need to keep her fans in the loop with what life has been like since she went into hiatus ten years ago. The show will run as a ten-part documentary and will feature recording sessions in the studio, co-parenting her child with Wissam and preparing for the European and Asian legs of her tour. Netflix are negotiating a big sum for the rights to the show as they expect it to perform well.”
After postponing her “Unbreakable” world tour in 2015 in order to focus on starting a family, the 51-year-old icon has announced she is resuming her jaunt, which is now renamed State Of The World tour, on September 7. So now you’ll be able to see Ms. Jackson on the stage and the small screen!
