If you’ve seen Iggy Azalea’s latest music video “Mo Bounce” then you may have noticed that the Australian beauty has shed a few pounds. Then again, you may have only noticed her a$$ and her impeccable twerk skills.
But, believe it or not, those skills are actually what helped Iggy get her slimmer figure. The 26-year-old recently confessed to a New Zealand radio station that, in preparation for the racy vid, she practiced the dance move for hours daily and ended up shedding 15 pounds.
“I did a lot of rehearsals actually, and man, I lost 15 pounds in a week dancing to that song!” she said.
Azalea also admitted to changing her diet for the video shoot and took classes with a twerk expert. “It’s a lot — I went on a meal plan before the video because I knew I would have to be dancing fairly skimpily dressed.”
And if that wasn’t enough, she also said she picked up yoga to help her with her form.
“I did take classes. I do have someone who is very, very good at twerking and she helped me. I never realized how flexible you have to be to do that stuff.”
She added, “My teacher was like ‘I really suggest you take yoga’ and I didn’t know you had to take yoga to be a twerker, but apparently you do.”
If you recall, Azalea and Jennifer Lopez famously showed off their derrieres in Lopez’s video for her single ‘Booty.” But we have to say Azalea’s “booty” has waaaaay “Mo Bounce” (pun intended) this time around.
