Rick Ross sent some kind words Lil Wayne’s way Thursday morning after his Birdman diss track, “Idols Become Rivals,” leaked online.

“The Level of respect and Love that I have for WAYNE makes it hard to sit back and not speak on the situation,” said Ross on his Instagram page. “The streets need you. Being a Boss means having the courage to say the things everybody thinking but scared to say. I can’t wait for you to hear it. Midnight. #Idolsbecomerivals”

Touched by Rozay’s heartfelt message, Wayne expressed his gratitude on Twitter. “Dam big bro that msg hit me in the heart and put the motivation on automatik start. I needed that. 1 boss 2 another,” wrote Wayne.

On “Idols Become Rivals,” Ross airs out his grievances with his former friend/mentor Birdman. “You stole them boys pub and bought a foreclosure/ Scott Storch demons in it, which is more poison/ I handed over records, never charged a coin/ But consist the sentiment, I’m talkin’ all alone,” raps Rozay.

The Maybach Muisc head honcho then spits more honesty, especially regarding Birdman’s situation with Wayne. “I pray you find the kindness in your heart for Wayne/ His entire life, he gave you what that was the game/ I watched this whole debacle so I’m part to blame/ Last request, can all producers please get paid?” he said.

Prior to their fallout, Ross and Birdman were on good terms. In 2011, they released their collaborative mixtape, The H: The Lost Album Vol. 1.

Drizzy has signed his first cousin Christopher “Royalty” Graham to OVO.

If you couldn’t tell from the last name, the Memphis-bred rapper is actually blood-related. His father and Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham, are brothers, and it’s safe to say music definitely runs through their genes.

We caught up with the new signee, who now just goes by the stage name Chris Graham, at the 2017 American Music Award’s about his upcoming project, who’s a better singer him or Drake, and the best advice his big cousin has given him.
