#IssaAnotherWin for Issa Rae!

The Insecure creator/star has just landed her big screen debut. Rae will star opposite Bill Hader in the drama-comedy Empress of Serenity, directed by “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” author and screenwriter Jesse Andrews. The film centers on a lawyer who’s coerced into taking an ocean cruise in order to bond with his estranged father. Production is planned for August.

According to Variety:

Hader plays a man whose elaborate plan to win back his ex-wife is upended when he is guilted into a month-long mega-cruise with his widowed father. Rae plays a reclusive kindred spirit in the cabin next door who becomes both the aid and the obstacle in his plan.

If Issa’s in it, then we’ll see it!

Although the couple faced some bumps in the road earlier this year with Kev being extorted over a video showing him cheating on his wife, the couple has bounced back. And on Tuesday night’s jungle-themed red carpet Hart told HipHollywood, “My wife is just an amazing woman … I would not be me right now without that woman in my life.”

You can see Kev, alongside Dewayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jack Black and more, when “Jumani: Welcome To The Jungle” hits theaters on December 20th.
