Drake has been playing with his fans’ emotions for months regarding the release of his upcoming studio album/playlist, More life. But now it looks like it’s FINALLY dropping.
Drizzy shared a teaser video on Instagram Saturday evening with the album’s release date — March 18. In the footage, the OVO head honcho travels Europe, showing him and his crew partying and the major turn up at his shows.
The 6 God followed that up with a series of photos with March 18 as the caption.
Currently on his Boy Meets World Tour, he also assured fans that the project was coming as soon as possible. “I know it’s taken me awhile, but I’m going to the hotel tonight to finish this More Life shit so I can give it to you as soon as possible,” Drake said on a stop Friday, March 10 in Hamburg, Germany. “So I hope you’re ready to enjoy some new music.”
Over the weekend, Drake also brought out Nicki Minaj, whom he recently reconciled with after her split with Meek Mill. Minaj hit the stage for Drake’s Paris tour stop and performed “Only,” “Truffle Butter”, “Moment 4 Life,” and “No Frauds,” her recent Remy Ma-bashing diss track, all of which feature Drake.
But if you thought she would use the op to continue to taunt Remy, think again. Instead Minaj expressed her love for Drake and took some subliminal shots at her ex/exes.
“[Drake] means the world to me, and I want you guys to know that,” she said. “I just want to beg you guys to chase your dreams. Don’t let anyone or anything get in your motherf–king way… You are important, and if a nigga don’t know how to treat you, he got to get the f–k out your motherf–kin’ life.”
Who’s Really Delusional? Charlamagne Can’t Quite Comprehend Amara La Negra’s Colorism Issues
This is uncomfortable to watch.
Love & Hip Hop Miami star Amara La Negra stopped by The Breakfast Club for a chat about her life, career and experience with colorism. Unfortunately, the interview started of awkwardly when Charlamagne’s first questions was, “What are you?” You see, for whatever reason, the radio host was confused about La Negra’s Afro-Latina heritage. And while there’s nothing wrong with an honesty inquiry, it was the way he asked the question that was off-putting. But, it didn’t stop there.
Charlamange, along to co-host, DJ Envy, repeatedly asked the reality star what was her “struggle”, ignorantly assuming that colorism isn’t a thing anymore because of all the advancements in the entertainment industry that have occurred. Yet, and still, you don’t see artist of Amara’s hue celebrated on any Latina platform such as Univision or Telemundo. The host, with the exception of Angela Yee, then proceeded to deduce Amara’s issue to being a problem that’s “all in (her) head”, even referencing the success of Cardi B. as evidence of La Negra’s delusion. You have to watch this to believe it…
