A man parading around New Jersey as a reverend is behind bars after assaulting an auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. Manuel A. Cruz was in the middle of opening prayer during a Saturday service when Charles E. Miller walked towards him and punched him in the face.
Miller was immediately subdued by security but his 63-year-old victim had several of his teeth loosened from the punch. The scary scene was captured on video and posted on YouTube.
Miller, currently being held without bail, is scheduled to appear in court again on Thursday. During a preliminary Tuesday hearing, Miller revealed he was a reverend. His Facebook account contains numerous pictures of him dressed quite eccentrically although it does not reveal where he ministers. One of his last post reads: I “AM THAT I AM THE BLACK MUTHA F**CKIN STAR MESSAGE.. ONCE UPON A TIME CALLED RIGHT MUTHA F**CKIN NOW!!!! IN ISAIAH CHAPTER 30:27-28”
