Mariah Carey is set to perform for the first time following her disastrous New Year’s Eve appearance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

She tweeted the news on Monday afternoon, informing her fans that she will be singing her latest single “I Don’t,” featuring YG on Wednesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“Going to perform my new song #IDont on @jimmykimmellive this Wednesday! See you soon @jimmykimmel!” she captioned with a photo of she and Kimmel in a bathtub.

On New Year’s Eve during her three-song set, Carey had a series of mishaps during her performance, becoming frustrated with malfunctions with her sound and vocal track.

While performing her 1991 hit “Emotions,” Carey stopped and told the crowd to finish singing, citing issues with her ear piece. After the incident, she tweeted, “Sh*t happened. Here’s to making more headlines in 2017.”

Carey later told her fans in an audio message that she was going to take some time off.

“I’m gonna take a break from media moments, social media moments. Although I am going to fulfill my professional obligations, this is an important time for me to finally take a moment for myself and to deal with my loved ones and to prepare for my upcoming tour in March… I can’t wait to sing for you again.”

For what it’s worth, we applaud her for keeping it pushing and hitting that stage again. Thankfully Jimmy Kimmel is not actually a LIVE show.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
