Why Furious Fans Are Bashing Lauryn Hill
Lauryn Hill doesn’t seem to care about the few precious minutes we all have left on this planet under a Trump administration. Over the years, Hill has developed quite the reputation for showing up late for performances, but on Tuesday night, she outdid herself by arriving on stage three hours after the scheduled time. Hill was supposed to take the stage at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Hall at 8 p.m., but according to fans, didn’t actually go on until 11:19 p.m.
By the time she belted out her first lyric, three-fourths of the crowd had reportedly left.

Three hours fifteen minutes later, there is a great band playing but it’s not Lauryn Hill. pic.twitter.com/pfT6qy7oYd

Others on Twitter used Hill’s tardiness to poke fun at Pittsburgh fans, noting they shouldn’t be surprised the soul artist wasn’t there on time.

Back in 2016, Hill blamed her tardiness on “energy,” posting this explanation on Facebook.
