Migos now has their first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and they can thank Donald Glover. After the actor shouted out their hit single ‘Bad and Boujee’ during Sunday’s Golden Globes, the song gained a ton of viral buzz that translated to the charts.

Virtually overnight, the single, featuring Lil Uzi Vert, rose from the No. 2 spot to the No. 1 spot. Glover, who stars on the FX series Atlanta, name-dropped the track while accepting the award on behalf of the show, which won Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy.

“I really wanna thank the Migos, not for being in the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee,’” he said of the group that also appeared on an episode of the hit FX series. “Like, that’s the best song ever.”

“Bad” is the first Hot 100 No. 1 for both Migos (Quavo, Takeoff and Offset) and rapper Lil Uzi Vert (born Symere Woods). It’s also the first Hot 100 leader for the 300 Entertainment label, founded in 2014, as well as the first topper for the Quality Control imprint.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
