Just one night after watching her husband bid farewell to the people of the United States of America, First Lady Michelle Obama was serenaded by the one and only Stevie Wonder.
On Wednesday night, Wonder served as the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and performed a medley of “Isn’t She Lovely” and “My Cherie Amour.” But that wasn’t all — the performance came with a side of blushing and Stevie-esque flirting.
“I wrote this song, but I kind of changed the words a little bit,” he said, before launching into “My Cherie Amour.” The new version, included “My Michelle Amour, you the only one that we adore, because we know for us your heart beats for, you’ll always be first lady in our lives.”
During her appearance on the late-night talk show, FLOTUS also got emotional while saying her goodbyes. “It has been surprisingly emotional,” she said when asked about preparing to leave The White House.
