In May 2016, Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas confirmed that they were calling it quits, and now, we are learning more about what drew the former lovebirds apart.

Since the public split, fans have witnessed the ups and downs of the pair’s breakup through their hit Bravo reality show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Cynthia, however, is getting extra candid with television host Steve Harvey about her divorce.

During Bailey’s appearance on Steve Harvey, set to air on Thursday, the reality star tells the host, “I think I just reached a breaking point. I just felt like, you know what, since I’ve been in this marriage, I’ve been working on this marriage, and it just got to a point where I just got tired of working on my marriage. And I felt like, you know what, I’ve given all I can give.”

Cynthia continues to reveal that initially the divorce was not mutual. “Well, I actually initiated it, um, I think in Peter’s heart, he knows that we’ve just kind of come to the end of the road. I think he’s just the type of person that would just kind of hang in there and just keep roughing it out,” she says.

She explains, “But you know, I’m reaching a huge milestone. Next year I’m going to be turning 50 and …. when I wake up on my 50th birthday, you know, I really want to open my eyes and just love everything that I see, and love the person that I’m with and just have peace. And um, this marriage …. it was supposed to happen. I’ve been engaged a couple of times, but Peter is the only man that I married, and I have absolutely no regrets. But I just want peace and I just wasn’t getting peace and that’s what I want for my next chapter.”

Bailey went on to tell Harvey that losing their friendship was a key factor in the split. “You know, there’s just a lot of things that you go through as a couple …. Peter and I were friends before we were you know, husband and wife, and I felt like we just started to lose focus on that friendship and …. that was the beginning of it,” she says. “At this point, you know, Steve, I just feel like …. well I know that I can just be a better friend to Peter than his wife.”
At the end of the day, the model admits to now being at total and complete peace. “I sleep very well at night, knowing that I did the best that I could do. This is my first marriage. I’m not saying, you know, I was the best wife in the world. I completely accept my accountability for my shortcomings; however, I tried my best and that just has to be good enough.”

Despite the split, Thomas and Cynthia have remained cordial. Over the weekend, Bailey’s daughter, Noelle, whom she shares with actor Leon Robinson, visited Peter in North Carolina.

Peter shared this photo on Instagram with the caption: “This beautiful girl @noellerobinson spend the weekend in Charlotte with me, best time ever.”

Let’s be clear, Kim Kardashian isn’t a savage, but her clapback to Lamar Odom after he low key dissed her sister Khloe was pretty ferocious.

After Odom appeared on BET’s The Man Cave and told the hosts that he knew his marriage to Khloé was over “when she was with her second or third NBA ballplayer,” Kim got him all the way together.

“Or second or third brothel,” she shot back via Twitter.

The former NBA player reportedly frequented brothels including Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch were he infamously overdosed back in October 2015. Khloe helped nurse him back to health and even called off their divorce until he was fully recovered.

Odom told the hosts that he has nothing but love for her and wished well with her new relationship with Tristan Thompson and her pregnancy. “I’m happy for her! She took care of me,” he said. “She’ll be a good mother, for real. She’s a great woman.”
