Trigga Trey turned up while touring in the Motor City and it resulted in a trip to the big house!

Songz was performing at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit when he was told his set was going too long. Someone told the singer that if he didn’t wrap it up they would cut his mic. Trey responded saying if they cut his mic he would cut the F- up. Well, the mic was cut and Trey turned alllll the way up, destroying property and throwing items.

A cop who was on hand tried to subdue Trigga but in the process was unfortunately struck by some flying debris. Consequently, Trey was arrested for resisting arrest and malicious destruction of property. He was ultimately charged with assaulting a police officer, causing injury, and aggravated assault, so says TMZ.

Songz pleaded not guilty and his bail was set at $25,000. At the time of this post, he has yet to be released.

You can’t F with her if you wanted to…

Carbi B. scored a major hit with her single “Bodak Yellow”. And after a viral campaign calling for fans to make Cardi #1, it happened. The reality star turned rapper just dethroned Taylor Swift for the number one position on the Hot 100 chart.

According to Billboard:

Cardi B is only the fifth female rapper ever to lead the Hot 100 at all. After (Lauryn) Hill (with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in 1998), Lil’ Kim ruled for five weeks in 2001 with Christina Aguilera, Mya and P!nk on “Lady Marmalade”; Shawnna reigned as featured on Ludacris’ “Stand Up,” which topped the Dec. 6, 2003, chart; and Iggy Azalea‘s introductory Hot 100 hit, “Fancy,” featuring Charli XCX, led for seven weeks in 2014.

Cardi B is also the first female soloist to top the Hot 100 with a debut track unaccompanied by another artist since Meghan Trainor, whose “All About That Bass” led for eight weeks beginning Sept. 20, 2014.

Let’s all clap for Cardi!
