HipHollywood can confirm that 16 and Pregnant star Valerie Fairman has died at the age of 23.

Exact details surrounding the reality star’s death are still unknown, but the Chester County Coroner’s office of PA tells HipHollywood that the investigation into Fairman’s death is still ongoing.

According to reports, however, Valerie, most notably known for her time spent on the hit MTV show, was found unresponsive inside a locked bathroom at a friend’s home. Per the coroner’s office, the time of death was 4:54 p.m.

“We are saddened by the news of Valerie Fairman’s passing,” MTV said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.”

Valerie appeared on the second season of 16 and Pregnant and has a 7-year-old daughter named Nevaeh Lynn Fairman. During Fairman’s time on the MTV series, cameras captured the then teen’s struggle with raising a baby all while dealing with substance abuse.



Several of Fairman’s castmates took to social media to express their condolences following the heartbreaking news. Janelle Evans tweeted: “Oh my god. I just spoke to her a couple months ago and told her I’m proud of her and looks like she’s doing good.”


Kailyn Lowry wrote: “So sorry to hear news of Valerie. Sending condolences to her daughter and family.”
