It has been an intense week for Kanye West. Here’s the latest info about the rapper:

On Monday, after a string of bizarre rants and canceled concerts, West was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation. Paramedics were called after West was “acting erratically” while at his trainer Harley Pasternak’s home. It was determined that ‘Ye was reportedly suffering from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.

As we all know too well, sleep deprivation has been dangerous, and even deadly, for some of our beloved stars. Michael Jackson struggled with it to the point that Propofol, the sleep-inducing anesthetic, took his life. And even Prince, prior to his death, was known to struggle from sleeplessness as well. Julia Beverly, the rap mogul behind Pimp C’s biography, detailed on Twitter how West told her he never sleeps.

The fallout from his recent behavior in conjunction with his hospitalization has apparently taken a toll on his wife, Kim Kardashian. “The last few months have been difficult for their marriage,” an insider told People. “They bicker a lot and things are not great.” The source continued, “With the tour canceled, Kim hopes that Kanye will feel better soon. He needs to shape up for them to work out.”

True, since West has cancelled the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour, hopefully this will give him the opportunity to rest, refuel and take care of his mental health. But more than anything, let’s hope Kanye has the right people in his corner who will be supportive, selfless and genuinely concerned for his well-being.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
