Talk about bad timing.

Days after splitting from billionaire fiancé James Packer, Mariah Carey’s divorce to ex-husband Nick Cannon gets finalized. Talk about an emotional journey — This now means Carey no longer has a husband or a fiancé. The singer is completely single.

Carey and Cannon announced their split in 2014, but in January of 2015, Nick officially filed for divorce from the the Grammy Award-winning singer after six years of marriage.

The divorce lingered, however, despite both parties moving on.

In June 2016, reports surfaced that Mariah had been trying to get Cannon to sign documents for a year, but that the America’s Got Talent host repeatedly “declined to sign the papers that would make the divorce official.”

At the time, Cannon shut down the rumors with a tweet that read:

Later that month, the comedian released a freestyle titled “Divorce Papers,” which included lyrics about the rollercoaster of emotions following the split and how the rapper’s twins, Morocco and Monroe, are dealing.

“We single now but we really need to think about is how a child deals/ how a child feels/ because we got two and they brilliant for real/ resilient for real,” he raps.

“My daughter said daddy why your eyes in tears/ because last time I dropped your brother off I didn’t get a call the next day and it felt like years/ and Ima be honest/ sometimes I hate to hear you’re on the other line having fun without me/ I wonder if my son will ever doubt me…/ What’s love I don’t care about it I just want my kids to be safe.”

Cannon ended the track with “let’s sign these papers.”

Watch: Julia Roberts And Owen Wilson Give Advice To Their 10-Year-Old Selves

To say Wonder is a must see movie is an understatement! Not only will the film touch you and inspire you to be a better person, it will also entertain you from start to finish.

But don’t take our word for it. HipHollywood sat down with the film’s stars Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson who shared their excitement to bring this heartwarming story to life and how they channeled their real-life parenting skills into the role.

“I think we felt a responsibility to be authentically parents and authentically parents to these two kids, said the 50 year old mother of three. “And I think that’s why you really believe these four people are family and are really having this experience together.”

In the film based on the NY times best seller, Roberts and Wilson play the parents of a teenage daughter (Izabela Vidovic) and 10-year-old boy (Jacob Tremblay) with facial differences entering mainstream elementary school for the first time.

When asked if they had any advice for their ten year old selves, Roberts said: “I have a ten year old son and I tell him to run.”

Meanwhile Wilson says he remembers 5th grade vividly, and enjoyed having his brother Andrew Wilson at the same school to protect him. “It helped so much having an older brother who was already at the school, so that would be the advice I’d give, have a cool older brother.”

Wonder hits theaters November 17, just one day before Wilson’s 49th birthday.
