On Monday afternoon, one of Hollywood’s hardest working men received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Kevin Hart recieved the 2,591st star on Hollywood Blvd., and in honor of his humble beginnings as a shoe salesmen in his hometown of Philadelphia, Hart’s star was placed right in front of DSW shoes.

“At the end of the day, it all goes full circle,” said the 36-year-old comedian. “I’m honestly humbled and blessed to be supported, to be loved, and more importantly, to have a fan base that’s so loyal. Today is a day I’ll never forget.”

And some of Hart’s famous friends, including Halle Berry, Tim Story, Will Packer and Ice Cube, came out to support him on his special day. “I came out to find out how Kevin got his star [on Hollywood Blvd.] before me,” joked Ice Cube.

Hart, too, kept the jokes going, telling the audience that no one can pee on his star for at least a month, before getting choked up while thanking his longtime manager Dave Becky.

“I’m standing up here as a successful family man, because of you; you helped me get here, Dave, and I love you,” he said with tears streaming down his face. Hart also thanked his wife Eniko, his ex-wife Torrei Hart, whom he has two children with, and his father and brother were also in attendance.
