What better way than to end an amazing series with an Emmy Award!
Sunday was a major night for comedian’s Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, aka Key & Peele, who took home an Emmy Award for Variety Sketch Series. “This is crazy,” Jordan first said when accepting the award.
He added, “We want to thank everybody for watching the show; everybody for going home and sharing the show with their loved ones.”
The series, which received seven nominations this year alone and 18 since its inception, wrapped up its final season in September 2015. “Keegan and I by no means are through working with each other,” Jordan told HipHollywood during last year’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
Key and Peele’s comedy show, which lasted for five seasons, beat out Documentary Now!, Drunk History, Inside Amy Schumer, Portlandia and Saturday Night Live.
