Azealia Banks is currently becoming an expert on PMS. Seriously.
On Monday morning, the female rapper went on a bizarre rant about her menstrual cycle, but specifically, her emotions pre cycle. Banks explained via Instagram that her PMS symptoms are severe and that her behavioral patterns change days before having her period.
“I’m going to make PMS my next personal research project,” she wrote. “Im still not quite sure what it actually is or why it happens but it’s too real for me to just chalk it up to needing an attitude adjustment. Yes… I need an attitude adjustment, but I also need to know what this chemical thing that’s happening to me every month is.”
We should note that the rapper’s new tirade comes just days after being berated on social media for, yet again, blasting Zayn Malik.
This is not an excuse for anything. This is simply me noticing my behavioral patterns. I’ve never thought PMS’ing was a serious thing. I just regarded it as cramps and slight irritability but I realize as I get older that it’s a real thing. I’m going to make PMS my next personal research project. Im still not quite sure what it actually is or why it happens but it’s too real for me to just chalk it up to needing an attitude adjustment. Yes… I need an attitude adjustment, but I also need to know what this chemical thing that’s happening to me every month is. #mentalhealthawareness
Azealia went on to post the definition of premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
It seems to us that Banks is basically blaming her recent actions towards Malik on PMS, which our guess, doesn’t count as an apology.
To bring you up to speed, Banks commented on Malik’s recent GQ spread and suggested he looks like he used to be a “girl.”
Earlier this year, the rapper’s Twitter account was shut down after firing off a racist rant towards the former One Direction singer.
