A 31-year-old Nevada man is dead because a woman was upset that he didn’t hold the door open for her at a McDonald’s. Mohammad Robinson was shot and killed in Las Vegas over the weekend by the woman’s boyfriend after an argument over chivalry turned violent.
According to one of Robinson’s children, 14-year-old Miniya Sampson, Robinson and the woman exchanged words before she told her boyfriend about the incident. Sampson said the boyfriend pulled out a gun and shot her father.
“My dad would open the door and hold it for the lady but he probably didn’t hear her,” said Sampson.
“It’s horrible. I want my dad back and you took him away from me!” Sampson continued in an interview with NBC News 3. “It was a stupid reason, honestly, irrelevant. It doesn’t make any sense why you would actually take someone’s life over not opening a door.”
The woman who argued with Robinson and the man that killed him have not been identified. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover his burial costs.
