Rapper Freddie Gibbs has been formally charged with allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting two Austrian women during his European tour. The incident allegedly occurred a little over a year ago, but Gibbs was just arrested in France this June in connection with the crime.

The rapper has since been extradited to Austria where he’ll have his day in court. Gibbs has maintained his innocence throughout the investigation and continues to do so:

“While Freddy Gibbs was charged with an offense today, it remains only an allegation,” Gibbs’ lawyer Theodore Simmons said in a statement. “It does not in any way change the actual fact that Freddie Gibbs is 100% innocent. As the investigation and process continues, Mr. Gibbs remains hopeful that a thorough, searching, and complete investigation will reveal the actual facts, including the absence of any scientific, physical, or credible evidence implicating him, thereby paving the way for his exoneration and return to his family and one-year old child.”

Gibbs could be released on bail, but will not be allowed to leave Austria if the request is granted.

And in doing so, he made us cry … multiple times. Just watch the video below.

In a statement the self-professed “6god” said this video was “the most important thing” he’s ever done. We’d agree.
