Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan are officially on good terms after a very toxic and public split.

During the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards, Barnes, who recently signed a new deal with the Sacramento Kings, told HipHollywood exclusively that he and the mother of his twin boys are doing well. “Their mom and I, we get along great,” he said, while his sons Carters and Isaiah played behind him.

Matt and Gloria called it quits back in October 2014, but the pair’s breakup turned ugly after Govan started dating Matt’s former teammate, Derek Fisher late last year.  “At the end of the day, it’s about the kids and their happiness and them [the kids] growing up the right way,” Matt explained.

The Kings player, however, hasn’t been the only one going through baby mama drama in the press. The 36-year-old’s ex brother-in-law, former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, has recently been making headlines over his feud with ex-wife and kids’ mother, Gloria’s sister, Laura Govan.

Gilbert has not only been open about his feelings on social media, but has not shied away from completely blasting his ex on Twitter and Instagram. Whether talking about Laura or blasting other people, like Nick Young for now being single, it’s safe to say Arenas has been a loose cannon.

“I gotta love Gil from a distance,” Matt told us when asked what is up with Gilbert’s social media antics. He joked, “He’s nuts.”
