HipHollywood can confirm that Chris Brown has been slapped with a new lawsuit in connection with the 2014 shooting at 1Oak in Los Angeles. The man behind the lawsuit: Suge Knight.

Back in August of 2014, Knight was shot six times while at Brown’s pre-VMA’s party in Hollywood and now, Knight is going after the singer for not having satisfactory security and allowing an armed person into the popular venue.

“As a result of the negligence of the defendants, one or more unknown individuals were allowed access to the event with weapons, including firearms,” the lawsuit says. “As a foreseeable result, gunshots were fired by those admitted into the event and (Knight) was shot and seriously injured.”

According to documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, the Death Row Records co-founder also listed complications from the injuries; Knight was hit in the abdomen, chest and left forearm,

The papers also suggest Brown has gang ties and even claims there’s a “well-documented track record of hosting events and/or parties in which violence frequently erupted.”

Knight is currently behind bars after running over two men (killing one) back in January 2015. The 50-year-old plead not guilty to murder and attempted murder and to two counts of hit-and-run.

Brown has yet to publicly respond to the suit.
