Serena Williams Says “Lemonade” Dance “Wasn’t Easy”
She dropped it low, picked it up and d@mn near clapped it for all to see. But, according to Serena Williams, her flawless “Lemonade” routine didn’t come easy.
The tennis champ was a surprise cameo during the premiere of Beyoncé’s visual album “Lemonade”. Making her dance debut in the song “Sorry”, Williams says the surefire hit was “really a strong song, and it was also really fun at the same time.”
But, according to PageSix, Serena had some difficulty letting go when the beat dropped. “She told me that she just wants me to dance, like just be really free and just dance like nobody’s looking and go all out. So that wasn’t easy in the beginning, but then it got easier.” Serena also stated, “I have known the director since I was like nine years old. I know Beyoncé pretty well, so they were like, ‘We would love for you to be in this particular song. It’s about strength and it’s about courage and that’s what we see you as.’”
Well, from where we were standing, Ms. Williams killed it!
