Rihanna’s ‘ANTI’ Goes Double Platinum & Drake’s ‘Views’ Sells Over A Million Copies
Rihanna and Drake are winning. Seriously. Both the singer and rapper broke records this week with their respective albums, ANTI and Views.
Views, Drake’s 4th studio album, sold over one million copies in its first week and streamed over 250 million times worldwide. On another note, the Canadian rapper’s NBA team, the Toronto Raptors are also doing well. On Thursday, the team beat the Miami Heat in Game 2 in the NBA semifinals.
Rding along the success train with Drizzy, his friend Rihanna, whose album ANTI just went double platinum. On Thursday, the LP was certified double platinum and became the first 2X multi-platinum album of 2016.
A very excited Badgalriri wrote on Instagram:
“#ANTI is the first album from 2016 to be certified double platinum by @RIAA_Awards and #WORK is 3x platinum!! Thank you so much for your love and support Navy, you’re amazing!”
Rihanna is currently on her ANTI world tour and Drake has been right by the singer’s side, making appearances in several cities with the beauty. The pair heated things up yet again on Wednesday during their performance of “Work” at LA’s The Forum.
