Ellen DeGeneres grilled Nicki Minaj on Thursday about the rapper’s relationship with Meek Mill.

First, DeGeneres questioned Minaj about where her “engagement ring” was. Nicki explained that the bling in question was not from a proposal, rather “if I get a third ring that that would be the engagement ring.”

The female emcee was not only candid about the rock, but also candid about why she is now calling herself single. When asked if she is ready to get engaged, she responded: “You know, I don’t know. We’re still figuring each other out. And in fact, I don’t even want to say that I’m in a relationship anymore, because I think when people hear that, they go to like the mean place and try to like—not you, though. You’re super. I love you to death.”

DeGeneres continue to prompt Minaj into sharing more, but the female emcee remained mum. “I would rather not. You know, I used to be secretive. You guys asked me about that before on my pre-interview,” Minaj said. “I used to say, ‘I’m not in a relationship,’ even though I was in a 12-year relationship [with Safaree Samuels]…Now I feel like just going back to that and saying, ‘You know what? I’m single.”

The Trinidadian beauty added, “He [Meek] and I are just two souls right now passing through the universe, and I don’t know what’s going to happen. I just have learned over the years to just let things be and come and go as they are going to come and go.”

Minaj, who stars in Barber Shop: The Next Cut, out April 15, also had some fun with viewers during a live Facebook chat and explained what she does before she goes to bed. Tune into for the Ellen Show today to find out. In the meantime, check out what she had to say about working with Ice cube on Barber Shop.

Hold Up! Christina Aguilera Swung On Pink In A Club

Pink and Christina Aguilera have made amends since their beefing years ago. But fans are now learning their early career drama almost turned physical.

During Pink’s recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, she admitted that during the height of their feud, Christina tried to hit her. “She swung on me,” she said during a round of Please the 5th. “Hilarious. I was like what’s happening right now.”

As for what initially sparked the feud, Pink suggested, “We were super young and super new at the whole thing. She’s an alpha, I’m an alpha.”

But years after despising each other, the pair made up while on NBC’s The Voice. “She’s so talented, she’s a really sweet person. We made up on The Voice. I hadn’t seen her in years and years an years. We became moms, we grew up, we hugged it out.”

Christina has not responded to Pink’s recent confession, but we sure hope she does.
