Things Turn Ugly After Black Student Confronts White Student Over Hairstyle
A San Francisco State University student is under fire for confronting a White student over his hairstyle. Video shows the African-American woman aggressively admonishing the man for wearing dreadlocks.
In the beginning of a 45-second clip of the confrontation, Bonita Tindle can be heard asking a friend identified as Davia Spain if he has any scissors. “You’re saying I can’t have a hairstyle because of your culture? Why? … Do you [dreads are] from Egyptian culture? Are you Egyptian? Nah,” the student tells Tindle before he trying to walk pass her.
Tindle responds by grabbing him as he pleads with her to let him go. “Get off me … I don’t need your disrespect,” he continues before the clip finishes.
