Report: Knife Found On O.J Simpson’s Former Estate Shows No Signs Of DNA
New information has surfaced regarding the knife that was found on O.J. Simpson’s Rockingham estate years ago.
Earlier this month, LAPD recovered the blade that had been kept by a retired officer after a construction worker discovered it on Simpson’s former property.
Initially, it was reported that there might have been blood residue on the knife. Officials, however, later confirmed to HipHollywood that there was no way to tell if there was residue on the blade, but that a full investigation would be completed with DNA testing.
Now, just two weeks later, we are learning that the DNA testing produced no matches. According to TMZ, “microbes in the soil degraded any DNA” so officials were unable gather accurate results.
Either way, had the possible weapon pointed back to Simpson, who was acquitted of his ex-wife’s murder in 1995, he most likely will not have been prosecuted because of double-jeopardy laws.
