Earlier this week, Karrine Steffans blasted her husband, Columbus Short for being unfaithful. The former vixen even shared a video of herself going ballistic on the former Scandal actor, who at the time, didn’t seemed phased by the series of events. And now, we are learning more about the state of the pair’s relationship.

On Wednesday, Columbus opened up to Dion Deezy on SiriusXM The Heat about the cheating scandal and further revealed that his marriage to Steffans was not real. But according to the former vixen, their marriage was 100% official and she proved it with one post on Instagram.

Karrine took to the social media website and not only share the marriage license, but to explain that Short has a “drug and alcohol addiction.”

“It breeds violence and lies, resentment and hate. It hurts. I love my husband and as always, I will and do forgive him for all his poor decisions,” she wrote. “My husband’s issues have been public knowledge for years, and yes, I chose love him anyway. It is my sincerest hope that @officialcshort gets the professional help he needs and I will be there to support him when or if he does.”

Steffans, who married Short five months ago, went on to call the entire situation “embarrassing” and “humiliating.”

The 37-year-old further addressed being physically abused by the star. “There are photos, audio and police records that point to the truth, all of which I keep closely guarded,” she wrote. “My hope is that I never feel the need to defend myself publicly against his public rants, accusations, half truths, and lies, for these are the traits of an addict and those dealing with mental illness.”

Steffans, who said she has been “afraid for my physical well-being time and time again,” concluded with a message to her husband: “I love you and I hope to see you on the other side of this,” she wrote. “I hope we are stronger and better as individuals, no matter the state of our union. Be well.”

This is not the first time Short has been accused of domestic violence. In April 2014, his ex-wife Tanee McCall filed a restraining order against the actor after he threatened to kill her and then take his own life.
