Rihanna Apologizes For Grammy No Show
Rihanna skipped out on the Grammys this year for some personal health problems and for that, the pop star is very apologetic.
On Monday night, the Barbadian beauty tweeted this message to her number one fans.
RiRi was supposed to perform her track “Kiss It Better” from her latest album ANTI, however was forced to cancel because she was “at risk for hemorrhaging her vocal chords.”
“Based on Rihanna’s examination after Grammy rehearsals today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48-hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords,” the singer’s rep told ET in a statement. “The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately, therefore she cannot perform safely.”
The Grammys didn’t appear to be too bothered by the cancellation because they tweeted a get well message to the star.
Despite opting out of attending the Grammys, the 27-year-old did managed to muster up enough energy to perform on Sunday night to honor Lionel Richie during the MusiCares Person of the Year dinner in Los Angeles.
