Beyonce, Coldplay, Cam Newton & More: Four Things You Missed From Super Bowl 50
Super Bowl 50 was full of surprises and antics; from Beyonce’s stellar half time performance to Cam Newton’s lackluster game, Sunday night’s event was enough to keep us talking for at least the next 24 hours.
So in case you opted out of watching the game for something much more exciting, here are three major things you missed that might come up at the water cooler.
Beyonce and Bruno Mars Stole The Show From Coldplay: Coldplay headlined the Pepsi Super Bowl Half Time Show and was joined by Bruno Mars and Beyonce. But the moment the Queen Bey and Mars hit the stage, it was as if Chris Martin and company never existed.
Bruno knocked it out of the park with his track “Uptown Funk” and even threw in a little homage to MC Hammer. But it was Beyonce who took the show to another level with a performance of her spanking brand new hit, “Formation.”
Beyonce Almost Fell: While Jay Z’s wife had folks buzzing on social media about her halftime performance, there was a slight hiccup that unfortunately, we all happened to catch. While dancing in front of a group of lovely ladies, the pop star did a backwards hop and lost balance for a quick second. But leave it to Blue Ivy’s mama to get right back on track and keep it moving.
Lady Gaga’s National Anthem: Lady Gaga may have slayed her rendition of the Nation Anthem, but it was her outfit that had folks on social media cracking jokes. Our favorite:
Cam Newton Got Sacked 7 Times: The Carolina Panthers lost 24-10 in a incredibly boring game against the Denver Broncos. And while it was clear it was a defensive match, Cam’s name is being dragged through the mud after being sacked seven times.
