Matt Barnes wants Derek Fisher to know that there’s another beat down coming his way before all is said and done. The scrappy NBA star is still furious with Fisher for having “sexual relations” with his estranged wife, Gloria Govan.
Barnes’ Memphis Grizzlies will take on Fisher’s New York Knicks this Saturday night, marking the first time the men have seen each other since being involved in a physical confrontation last October. At that time, multiple sources confirmed to HipHollywood that Barnes raced to the home he once shared with Govan after learning that Fisher was there for a party as Govan’s date. Once at the California home, the feisty forward allegedly attacked the Knicks head coach, leading the NBA to suspend Barnes for two games.
“I don’t talk to snakes,” Barnes told the New York Daily News‘ Stefan Bondy when asked about his relationship with his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate. “I know I got to keep my mouth shut because then he’ll run and tell,” Barnes continued, noting Fisher was the one responsible for his two game suspension.
“We’re focused on playing that team (the Knicks). And when I’m retired, him and I will cross paths again,” he warned before ending the interview. Fisher, an apparent snitch and backstabber according to Barnes, is yet to respond to the comments but Saturday’s game will be one worth watching.
