The Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere was the most anticipated event of the year and Hollywood showed up and showed out.

From Princess Leia hairstyles to light sabers, Hollywood power players stepped out of their normal red carpet garb to pay homage to one of the most popular franchises in film history.

Karruehe Tran was one of several to arrive with the classic buns on the side of her head, but unlike Princess Leia, Tran showed quite a bit of cleavage. The beauty was in good company, also being joined by Sophia Vergara who twisted up her hair to pay homage to the princess. Got to love it.

Lupita Nyong’o, who plays Maz Kanata in the sci-fi flick, arrived to the event in a stunning Alexandre Vauthier gown; the ensemble perfectly fit for the premiere. “I thought I’d bring the galaxy with me,” she said during the live stream.

Another show stopper of the night, Janelle Monae, who stunned in a short, sexy dress that showed off her sexy abs and legs. Monae even rocked a long braid which was also perfect for the theme.

And leave it to some of the guys to dress as their favorite characters. The film’s star, John Boyega, sported one leather glove in honor of Luke Skywalker.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
