When will people learn that using social media to express ignorance will come back to bite them in the arse? Miss Puerto Rico 2015, not to be confused with Miss Colombia 2015, learned that lesson the hard way after she was suspended indefinitely for sharing her anti-Muslim views on Twitter over the weekend.

Destiny Velez, future Fox News anchor, is of course now apologizing for her insensitive remarks that include these gems:

“Muslims use our constitution to terrorize USA & plant gas stations.”

“There’s NO comparison between Jews, Christians & Muslims. Jews nor Christians have terrorizing agendas in their sacred books.”
“All what Muslims have done is provided oil & terrorize this country & many others!!!!!!”

We have no idea what she means by “plant gas stations,” but if you do, please send an email breaking down the science of that sentence. Anyway, the 19-year-old’s trolling led The Miss Puerto Rico Organization to issue this statement over the weekend:

“In regards to Miss Puerto Rico, Destiny Velez’s, recent actions and conduct; the Miss Puerto Rico Organization feels that her words do not represent the integrity and esteem of our program, nor that of our board members, our sponsors and partners, or the National Organization.

Miss Velez’s actions were in contradiction to the organization, and therefore as a consequence of her actions, she has been suspended indefinitely. The Miss Puerto Rico Organization will not tolerate any actions or behavior contrary to the Miss Puerto Rico Organization.”

And then there’s the pageant winner’s apology taken straight from a PR handbook:

“I apologize to the people I have offended with my words. I am first and foremost an #UpStander and as such I stand up against bullying. The last thing I wanted to do was to bully anyone. Again, I apologize to anyone who felt offended with my words.”

Destiny was reportedly upset with documentary filmmaker Michael Moore posting a photograph on Twitter of himself in front of Trump Tower in Manhattan holding a sign that read: “We are all Muslim”

To say Wonder is a must see movie is an understatement! Not only will the film touch you and inspire you to be a better person, it will also entertain you from start to finish.

But don’t take our word for it. HipHollywood sat down with the film’s stars Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson who shared their excitement to bring this heartwarming story to life and how they channeled their real-life parenting skills into the role.

“I think we felt a responsibility to be authentically parents and authentically parents to these two kids, said the 50 year old mother of three. “And I think that’s why you really believe these four people are family and are really having this experience together.”

In the film based on the NY times best seller, Roberts and Wilson play the parents of a teenage daughter (Izabela Vidovic) and 10-year-old boy (Jacob Tremblay) with facial differences entering mainstream elementary school for the first time.

When asked if they had any advice for their ten year old selves, Roberts said: “I have a ten year old son and I tell him to run.”

Meanwhile Wilson says he remembers 5th grade vividly, and enjoyed having his brother Andrew Wilson at the same school to protect him. “It helped so much having an older brother who was already at the school, so that would be the advice I’d give, have a cool older brother.”

Wonder hits theaters November 17, just one day before Wilson’s 49th birthday.
