Erykah Badu and Iggy Azalea are officially back on good terms … we think.
Following last week’s Soul Train Awards diss, Badu apologized to Iggy for suggesting that she can come to the show “because what you’re doing is definitely not rap.”
So during a recent Twitter Q&A, after being asked why she poked fun at Azalea, Badu took the opportunity to apologize to the “Fancy” rapper with a sincere, yet sarcastic video apology.
“I want to do this for my daughters. I want to apologize to Iggy Azelea because she is one of their favorite artists and the listen to her all the time,” the 44-year-old started off in the clip. “When I really think about it, if ya’ll love her so much, why ya’ll go be with her then.”
The “On & On” singer continued as if speaking to her daughters, Puma and Mars, “Is Iggy Azalea going to miss the healing seminar to go up to the school, sit across from the teacher so she can tell you that all ya’ll been doing is talking to your neighbor not getting your lesson. Is she? Where’s Iggy for that?”
Iggy did respond to the video, with also what appears to be a heartfelt, yet playful response.
We are glad the two have made amends.
